Happy Monday!! I hope you guys had a fabulous weekend. Mine was spent cleaning/cooking/and baking until Sunday night, when everyone came over to party!
Halloween Party Recap:
I made a huge crockput full of laoded potato soup for my guests with green onions, garlic, some cheese and french bread
Candy Corn Loaded Rice Krispie Treats
Adding candy corn to your basic rice kripie recipe makes it fit for any Halloween party!
Ingredients:
-
1 (10ounce) package mini mellows
-
3 T butter
-
6 C rice cereal
-
1/2 C candy corn
Melt the butter in a large dutch oven. Once its almost completed melted, add the mellows, stirring constatnly. Stir until mellows have melted into one goo. Add rice krispies and candy corn. Stir together well. Press into a lined baking sheet and let cool.
It never ceases to amaze me how the simplest thing gets the most raves. I’m pretty sure everyone had at east one, and commented on how tasty they were. Amazing what 4 little ingredients can do!
Homemade Carmel (A How-To post coming at you soon!!)
Carmel apple dipping station
peanuts, mini melllows, butterfingers, crunch bars, m&ms
Not going to lie, this was probably the best part of the party. Well, in my eyes it was!
Ok well I got about 4 hours of sleep last night, so I apologize for the lame post. I’ve gotta get my butt up and ready for work now!

Did you have a Halloween party this weekend?
Are you dressing up? What as?

drool drool drool. rice krispies are my love
Confession: no matter how many elaborate desserts are at a party, rice krispie squares are pretty much -always- my favorite. There’s something about them that’s so undeniably delicious.
What an epic and fun weekend!!! I hope you saved me some of those rice krispies, I’m comin right over for a plateful heehee
Homemade caramel apple dipping station sounds like the best thing ever! Such a good idea!
That caramel apple dipping station is adorable. Such a good idea!!!
We’re not big Halloween people. We’ll give out candy to the neighborhood kids, but we aren’t dressing up. I guess if I had a fun party to go to, maybe I’d put some thought into a costume!
Love all the fun treat ideas! You’re so creative, I imagine all the guests had a blast (at least, their bellies did)!
We don’t do much for Halloween, I’m just attempting pumpkin pictures with our 6 week old – it’s a hard task!
Caramel Apple Dipping Station… seriously what an awesome and creative idea!!
I hope there are some costume pics from this party coming soon too
Love the idea of just adding candy corn to automatically make something Halloween/seasonal! I’m not a candy corn fan in terms of taste, but no other candy says Halloween in quite the same way!
