Happy thinking out loud Thursday!
Let’s get random 🙂
1 I’ve officially been teaching the Fun HIIT class at my gym for a week now – and I could not be happier. I have gotten such great feedback within the last week from class members and clients, it almost makes me wonder why on earth I ever doubted myself to begin with! Several people have taken the time to approach me after class and let me know how much they appreciate what I do and are happy that I am the new coach – it pretty much has me flying on cloud 9!
Though I have a pretty gnarly leg day scheduled for today, so I have a feeling I won’t be making many more friends after this 😉
Thank you again to all of you who offered advice, support and kind words in regards to this new stage of my life. It took me a while to get here but I’m beyond thrilled and blessed. All in God’s timing!
2 I’m sure by now y’all are well aware of the Unicorn Frapp that kind of took over Starbucks this past week. Well, Little Sissy is a unicorn lover like myself, so when she found out about it she of course wanted one, so we set out to get one this past weekend.
“Made with only the finest rainbows”
Guys – finding this thing was like finding a unicorn itself! It was sold out everywhere – in my entire county! Apparently it sold out on the first day. I could tell Little Sissy was bummed about it, so Ninja and I got on the phones and called every Starbucks in the surrounding area until we found one that still had some unicorn magic left. We showed up and the barista informed us that they had only a small amount left – just enough for two smalls. Talk about perfect!
Look how pretty is is!
The flavor of the frapp was interesting – it was kind of like a berry sweet tart. The sprinkles on the whipped cream were sour as heck and the blue syrup was also sour, however when you stirred everything together it made a really cool taste. It was sweet but not overly so, which I liked. Little Sissy on the other hand loved it!
NOTE: This frap does indeed contain gluten, of which I didn’t realize until I had finished half the frapp. The cramps and stomach pain were almost instant. I gave the rest of mine to Sissy, who happily polished off the remaining.
3 Ninja and I finally made our way to a swap meet this weekend, something we have been looking to do for a while now. And good thing we did, because I totally found my shoe heaven!
I got both of these Nike shoes for $50 each. Talk about a steal! The ones on the right are Nike Free 5.0, which are my favorite lifting shoes, so I was beyond thrilled to pick up a new pair of those. And the ones on the left are actually boys shoes – since when do boys wear that kind of print?!
4 This weekend Ninja and I also began the project of putting sprinklers in our backyard. I hope you’ve been following along my Instagram stories and tracking our progress – or lack there of.
Apparently the prior owner of our house liked to bury random pieces of concrete in the back yard. Look at that huge pile! We keep coming across it in every trench we dig, which totally slows us down as we have to dig around the entire thing to get it out.
On the bright side though, digging makes for a great second workout for me 😉
5 It’s finally berry season and let me just tell you – I’ve been taking full advantage of it!
I won’t even tell you how many packages I bought…
Because I now have an entire shelf full of strawberries in my fridge, I’ve been basically eating them all day everyday. Remember yesterday’s Strawberry Cauliflower Smoothie? That’s only the beginning of my strawberry madness! I’ve got another really great recipe coming to the blog soon [hopefully next week!] and am creating something else today, so stay tuned. #givemealltheberries
Udis’ GF cinnamon raisin toast, eggs & berries
I mean, seriously – look at how perfect they are!
6 Other than strawberries, I’m also super obsessed with my Fudge Truffles right now. I made myself a batch this week when the sugar hankering was starting to get crazy and have completely fallen back in love with them. Seriously, why did I ever stop making these beauties?
Ahhh yes, I remember now. It’s because the entire batch only lasts me 2 days.
I ain’t even mad about it.
I’m off to go dig some more trenches in my backyard. Have a great day!
Did you try the Unicorn Frapp?
