Happy thinking out loud Thursday!
Ugh. That’s pretty much the only word that I have for this week. Well, I actually have a few other choice words however I try to keep my tongue as clean as possible, so I’ll leave those words to your imagination. Just know that the majority of them come from a ticked off and annoyed ginger. I’m fairly sure you can guys what they are.
Anyway, let’s get random shall we? 😉
1 So if you couldn’t tell, the blog has been having some issues as of late. I’m working with someone now to try to figure it all out, however its a slow process and I’m pretty much going insane. Thankfully my posts actually come through now, however my Home Page is still messed up. And I have no idea how. Or why. Or how to fix it.
Just know that even if you don’t see a new post on my Home Page, I am still posting. Check the “Recent Posts” section or simply check on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
That being said, my blog imploding hasn’t been the only stressor this week. I’m just really trying to stay positive and not let every little annoyance trigger an anxiety attack.
2 Thankfully I baked up another batch of my Blueberry Banana Muffins to help curb any and all rage induced outbreaks I might have this week. They’ve been doing a solid job at keeping me calm – as well as keeping my taste buds happy.
Have you guys checked out this recipe? If not, you need to. Like, now.
I am truly, 100% obsessed with these beauties right now. I’ve eaten one every day this week as my pre-workout snack and I have plans on snagging some more bloobs this week so that I can bake up more this weekend. Give me all the muffins!
3 Does anyone else have an obsession with event popcorn? Let me explain…
For some reason, my ultimate weakness and craving at any and all events is popcorn. Movie popcorn, sporting event popcorn, show popcorn…If the place I’m going to is selling popcorn, you’d best believe that I’m excited about it.
Little Sissy and her school band played the National Anthem at a minor league hockey game this past weekend [which was SO awesome!] and beyond being incredibly excited to watch Sissy do her thing, I was looking forward to 1 simple thing – POPCORN!
I never get the extra butter or salt or seasonings, however there is just something about event popcorn that just makes my soul happy.
And yes – I did eat the entire bucket by myself. And it was glorious.
4 I’ve been in the kitchen a lot this week developing new recipes while simultaneously trying to fight my anxiety and frustration in regards to my blog. One recipe required a batch of coconut whipped cream, of which I happily sampled several times before putting it to use in the recipe.
Though this batch didn’t turn out as fluffy and airy as I’m used to thanks to an off brand can of coconut cream, it still tasted marvelous. Isn’t it amazing how tasty the simplest of recipes can be?
5 Speaking of putting that coconut whipped cream to use, I added a nice sized dollop to this plate before
inhaling sampling it.
Clearly I hated it.
Stay tuned for some pretty amazing recipes coming your way, guys. I’m excited about every one of them!
6 Speaking of excited, Ninja surprised me with a gift that I’ve been wanting for a while now! He was technically supposed to wait until next month to get it for me but I guess he knew my week was crappy, because it totally came in the mail yesterday!
I’ve had my eye on this beautiful training backpack for a while now, however when Ninja and I booked our trip to Virginia next month to visit his family, Ninja offered to buy it for me as a motivator for me to get on an airplane. You see, yours truly is deathly afraid of flying – which is why poor Ninja only gets to vacation in places we can drive too.
This beautiful backpack was Ninja’s way of getting me on that dang plane – I totally agreed to the trip if he’d buy me an EmPack that I could take with us [so that I could have something to workout with other than bodyweight]. But instead of him getting it next month [we leave in mid-May for the trip] he got it early!
And of course I had to test it immediately.
Question – would it be weird if I brought this beauty to the gym? Because I’m totally planning on it – and not to use it just as my gym bag. I’m going to use this baby to train along side the heavy weights!
And now if you’ll excuse me, there’s some leftover coconut whipped cream that’s calling my name…
Tell me something random from your week!
