I’m baaaaack!! Man what a weekend Ninja and I had!! It was quite eventful, and unfortunately, it wasn’t all good. BUT, we were together and creating memories, which is all I really care about. It doesn’t how many wrong turns, wrong ways, bad hotels, messed up food orders we get, as long as we get to do it all together I don’t mind one bit!
Ready for a recap?!
Friday: We got to our hotel around 3:30 PM and checked in. We unpacked, ate lunch/dinner, checked out the scenery, and then crashed on the bed for about an hour nap before we had to head out to our night session of tennis.
There was a mirror behind the bed. Very….interesing? The view was great though!
Turkey club on wheat bread with romaine, avocado and tomato
Then we headed out to the Indian Wells Tennis tournament. We had a feeling it was going to be cold, but somehow we still didn’t dress warm enough! Good thing the tournament sold fresh Starbucks coffee.
We both got warm pretzels to warm up our bellies later on in the night. After a really nice ceremony with the American flag and National Anthem, we sat and cheered on the #1 ranked men’s doubles players (who happen to be American) and then also got to watch the #3 ranked woman play. We were freezing by the time it was over, but it was a lot of fun!
Saturday: I started my morning with a small breakfast while Ninja slept. After he got up and got ready, we headed out for Day 2 at the Indian Wells tournament!
wheat rice cake topped with PB, 2 clementines, a naner and some horrible hotel coffee. Bleh!
Isn’t that view gorgeous? We got to overlook the mountains all day.
In between match snack and lunch. I got a veggie and black bean tostada for lunch. I asked for it without sour cream and they dumped it on there anyway. Owell, it was still tasty!
After our day session was up we headed out to dinner and a little shopping. We got dinner at one of our go to places, Islands and I got my usual meal.
No lack on veggies in this meal! Veggie tacos stuffed to the brim alongside some more steamed veggies. Oh and I got a Diet Coke. Because I was on vacation and wanted to live it up. Yep, I’m crazy like that.
After dinner we hit up some stores. Nothing out of the ordinary or fancy, but I just wanted to walk around and spend some cash.
Torani coconut syrup and super cute butterfly measuring spoons
I have a really bad habit of grinding up my measuring spoons in the garbage disposal, so Ninja bought me these metal ones. he’s convinced these ones won’t get ruined before I am able to turn off the garbage disposal. I sure hope so because they are so adorable!
sport’s bra and thumbhole jacket
Apparently I really do have a disease. We walked into Old Navy and I noticed the sale on workout gear and couldn’t help myself. The bra was $9 and the jacket was $15. How could I turn away from that?! Although Ninja did warn me that I better not turn into one of those girls who only wears workout gear. Dang it, there goes that idea.
The rest of Saturday night was spent in our room watching some ridiculous countdown on Fuse TV about the 100 sexiest artists. Then at 11:30 the fire alarm in the hotel went off and we were told to evacuate. After I gathered all our things they came back and told us it was a false alarm. Ninja told me it was ok to go back to sleep after that, but there was no way that was happening! I was wired the rest of the night, and pretty much just laid in bed until 7AM. Fun times.
But now we are back home with our puppers and all is well. I’m getting ready to workout and Ninja is ready to take a nap. Sounds like a typical Sunday to me.

Have any funny vacay stories?
Do you get lost when on vacay? We got lost every time we left the hotel!

Wow! Those mountains are gorgeous. Sounds like a fun weekend overall–what a nice getaway. Your meal at Island’s looked outstanding!! I love when a restaurant doesn’t skimp with the veggies.
Sounds like an awesome trip and what both of you needed. I love just getting out of your regular routine.
Aww what a fun trip! I’m so glad that you were able to enjoy it with your hubby!!
Awww it sounds like you guys had such a fun time!! And I can’t resist workout clothing either
I didn’t know you guys went on a little trip, but it seems like such a fun and relaxing time~sans the false alarm.
And Old Navy seems to be doing really well in the workout clothing department, I think I need to get my booty in there soon.
Glad to see day two looked a little warmer! haha Looks like a great trip to me…i love soft pretzels!!
