What a gorgeous day here in LA! These are the kind of days that really help me to appreciate my blessings. The sun is shinning, my family is healthy, and I’m alive. What more could I need?!
My lovely friend Meg posted this amazing recipe yesterday that I just HAD to try. I altered it a bit, but it’s pretty much the same!
Quinoa Flake Carrot Cake
- 1/3 C quinoa flakes
- 1 C almond milk
- 1/2 C shredded carrots
- 2 T flaxseeds
- 1T cream cheese
Mix together everything but the topping ingredients and microwave for 2 minutes. Stir well. Combine stevia and cream cheese and spread on top

These babies are perfect for my games now that the weather is heating up. Water just isn’t even to get me through a 90 minute hot soccer game!

This HUGE box of cereal (which is one of my favorites!) was also only $1. LOVE!
After unpacking all my groceries I got ready to get my sweat on. The weather was perfect for an outdoor workout, so I grabbed my hat and water bottle and headed to the back yard!
Outdoor Total Bodyweight Workout
pushups – 20
walk lunge – 10 each
jump lunge – 30 seconds
squat – 20
squat thrusts (a burpee without the pushup or jump!) – 10
burpees – 10
Your booty and legs should be pretty much toast after this! Mine were at least. I then grabbed my soccer ball and did some dribbling and juggling.

I recovered from my sweaty workout with my usual giant protein smoothie
naner, raspberries, chocolate protein powder, cocoa powder, kale and ice
And now I’m off to get some work done. And by work I mean baking for my co-worker!
