My Debut Magazine Article

A few posts back I told you guys I had some exciting news to share. I didn’t want to spill the beans until I had the thing in my hands, so I kept it from you guys…until now.

As of this week, I am officially a magazine writer!

Oh and my article made the front cover of the issue!

I was contacted a few months back and asked if I’d be interested in writing an article for a brand new start up magazine. Of course I jumped at the chance. Miabella targets young women ages 14-24, which to me is the perfect demographic for girls who struggle with body image disorders. I want so badly to reach out to young women and help them realize that being healthy is about more than just being thin. This magazine is the perfect avenue for that, and I couldn’t be more thrilled!

I cannot even express to you my elation over this magazine. I am so proud to be able to say I was a part of it, and I am so excited for it’s future.

I am so passionate about being a health ambassador to young women. I don’t remember health articles in the magazines I read when I was young. I remember diet tips, ways to tone your tummy, ect. Never anything focused on simply being healthy and strong. I am proud to take on the challenge of giving young women those articles I missed out on. Articles to inspire, change and motivate, not ones to degrade or depress.

I look forward to being a catalyst in young women’s lives. It really is amazing when you think about how this has come full circle.

I was the girl, broken and empty, who read magazines and focused on the skinny models and diet tips. Now, through God’s blessings, I am able to share my healthy living advice to these young women and hopefully change their outlook on their bodies.

What more could I possibly want?
