My Christmas list in a nutshell.

I’m so glad you all loved my DIY 365 Reasons Why I Love You book! I’m really not creative, so it meant a lot that you guys liked it.

I figured since it’s Christmas time and all, I would share a bit of my Christmas list. Honestly, I don’t really like getting gifts and would prefer to GIVE them, but my hubby would go nuts if he couldn’t get me any gifts, so here’s my list!

1. Music. I’m a huge music lover, and actually have a pretty eclectic taste. I love a little bit of everything! The 2 main CDs I want this year are

xmaspost2 xmaspost1 My Heart Will Go On anyone?? “I’ll never let go Jack…I’ll never let go.”

2. Movies. I’m a big movie lover, but the movies can’t be horror or gore. Not really a fan of those. Most of the time I prefer movies that are light and funny, but every once in a while a good suspense movie is fun too.xmaspost3I love dance movies. And this one has some pretty good music in it too. Christina may be a little crazy, but her pipes are made of gold.

BIG fan of super hero movies. Or maybe just hot men in tight outfits. I kid. But really, this movie is hilarious and I just love it.

xmaspost5 I also have a serious love for kid’s movies. They are just so simple, funny and cute!

3. Stuff for my house. I love to decorate, but that takes a lot of money sometimes. So whenever someone else can contribute to making my home look cute, I’m very appreciative. Although gift cards to place like Home Depot, Ikea or Target are just as good. I could spend hours and plenty of money in those stores making my house look more homey!

4. Food. Gosh this is kind of sad, but each year I literally BEG Ninja to buy me some special food items. Things like nut butters, teas, dark chocolate, nuts, and different kinds of flours are always on my list. I just love to try new things, but a lot of the time I feel bad spending extra money on myself especially when I know Ninja won’t touch the stuff!

5. Freestanding Punching bag. You didn’t think I’d skip out on fitness stuff did you?! This is the one gift I REALLY REALLY want this year. I absolutely love to kickbox. There are times when I am so mad or frustrated, that all I want to do is lock myself in our garage and beat the crap out of a punching bag for 20 minutes. xmaspost6

I would prefer a freestanding one simply because I don’t think our garage rafters are strong enough to hold a hanging bag. We have termites in there, and I have visions of going to town on the bag only to have it fly off like in Captain America. Yes, I am that strong.

In all honestly, I wouldn’t mind if I didn’t have anything to open on Christmas morning. I don’t know how, but somewhere along the way we seem to have forgotten the true meaning of the day. Even if you don’t believe in God and the birth of Christ, the meaning of Christmas still isn’t gifts. It’s giving, love, and family. So I would love to just sit around the tree and watch my family tear into their gifts, and take in the joy on their faces. That to me, is one of the best gifts I could ever get.

What’s on your Christmas list?

DUDE that’d be so badass if you had a punching bag in your house!!! I would love that too– especially during exam time hahaha 😉
You’ve been a good girl this year, so I’m sure Sanat will be granting all your wishes!! 😀

I used to be all about presents when I was younger, but the older I get, the less interested I am in getting them. My mom never liked to get things for Christmas, and I could never understand that, but now I think I know what she was on about. I love giving, but getting? Ehhh… I could take it or leave it. That being said, I really do actually need a nice pair of brown riding-style boots, so that tops my list this year.

I’m the same way with decoration stuff! It’s fun and relaxing, but it requires lots of money unless you have some REALLY good yard sales around, but that’s not usually the case right? 😛 So gift cards for that are great in my opinion as well.

And in all seriousness, I say AMEN to your last statement! Christ is the greatest gift ever to be offered to the world, but it’s up to us to take it…And even though I used to get a little sad as a child because my family never celebrated anything including Christmas, now I’m thankful for it because I never had the chance to be fixated on gifts! So it’s a win-win situation, kind of. hehe.

SNAP about receiving gifts! I actually don’t really have a list of things I want because i tend to buy things for myself whenever I need them. Although for fun, I wouldn’t mind receiving a frother so I can make a few DIY cappuccinos at home. I was out browsing today and saw a cute gift set with mini bottles of balsamic vinegar in various flavors (e.g. raspberry, apple, honey)- I use balsamic on a daily basis so that set would definitely be appreciated :)!

I loved the Avengers! SUCH a great movie! I’m definitely with you on not liking horror/gore and I’d add “scary” to the list too! I can handle minimal suspense if I have to, haha! But yeah, in general I like light and fluffy movies. 😉 Also, the Lorax was really cute!

LOVE the last part to this post. So true & it really does seem like so many people truly do forget the real meaning & reasoning behind what Christmas truly is <3

Love this list! Burlesque was a great movie.

Perfect disclaimer at the bottom. Part of the reason that I didn’t post a list on my blog (yet…) was because I was afraid that people would feel I was being greedy or something. But I feel like this: You know people are going to buy you things, why *not* make a list? Plus, it gives some great ideas for gifts! :)
