So I had a really marvelous weekend. Like, knock-your-socks-off-nothing-is ever-going-to-come-close-to-it weekend. Ok well maybe that’s not true. I guess I should probably say that my wedding weekend was better, right? Maybe we will just call this one a close tie
Are you guys biting at the bit yet to know what it is? Huh? Huh? Do ya really wanna know? Ok, I’ll tell you, because I’m nice like that and I kind of can’t control myself anyway.
I GOT A NEW CAR!
Not as exciting as you’d hoped? Sorry bout that. But maybe once you see exactly what I got, you will understand why the heck I am so gosh darn excited.
So since I was little, I have had an obsession with Ford Mustangs. It all started with the cute horse on the car. Horses were my favorite animal when I was younger, and I actually did barrel riding for a bit. But then I saw the movie Gone In 60 Seconds (with Nicholas Cage) and completely fell in love with Eleanor, the one car in the movie that Nic can never seem to get his hands on. Seriously, just seeing that car gives me chills. That baby is one hot ride!
All that to say, my dream car has always been an old Mustang. I used to want Eleanor, but seeing as how that’s a crazy expensive car, I know that will never happen. It’s also not practical. I needed something I could rely on and that could make it over the mountains to get me home to Daddy when I visit.
So, if you can’t get an old one, get a new one right?
That’s right loves, this girl has snagged herself her dream car! Because I have pretty much the most incredible husband in the world, I had mentioned to him about wanting a new car a few weeks back. I have driven my grandpa’s 95 Corolla since I was 17, and while I seriously adore my car and all the memories it holds of my grandpa (he passed when I was 16), the car is beat up and getting old. It’s also not too safe to drive through the mountains anymore. I literally have to go 55mph so that the wind doesn’t blow me into the next lane!
Anywho, my new lover is called Black Widow. I think it suits her don’t you? She’s a GT 2006 Mustang, and boy does she roar when you turn that key! That V8 engine sure does sound different compared to my little V4. Ninja sat in the driveway yesterday just staring at her. It’s a good thing she’s a car, because I’m pretty sure that he would leave me for her if he could! You know men and their cars
What’s your dream car?
Tell me something marvelous in your life!
