Happy Friday, friends!
It’s been a bit of a draining week for me personally, what with the emotions and stress of the nearby wildfires as well as a few other personal things, so needless to say I am pumped that today is Friday. That being said, I actually have to teach class tomorrow morning at 9am, but I always look forward to my Saturday morning classes! The other instructor and I switch off every other week so I only work two Saturdays a month, but I always have a good time when I teach so I don’t mind one bit. The last time I taught on Saturday there was 33 people – the biggest turn out we’ve had in a while, so I’m looking forward to seeing what happens tomorrow morning!
With everything going on this week, I sort of missed out on Thinking Out Loud Thursday, so I opted to share a few Friday Favorites with you guys instead!
Grocery Store Deals

Though if I’m being honest, I think Ninja was more excited about it all than I was. Though I do love finding good food deals, Ninja I think loves it more simply because he knows how much I refrain from purchasing things due to the hefty price tag of GF goods. He was tossing things into the cart left & right!
Homegrown Cherry Tomatoes
Remember how I told you guys that my cherry tomato plant was bursting at the seems? Well, apparently I need to make batch upon batch of that Cherry Tomato Basil Soup because I’m literally starting to get overrun with the things.
I actually think I’m going to freeze a few batches of the soup for dinners/lunches when I’m in a hurry or running low on groceries. Then again Mom #2 has requested a batch as well, so I’d better get her some too!
National Popcorn Month
Ummmm how come no one told me that October was National Popcorn Month?!
Popcorn is one of my all time favorite carbs [I’ll eat bag after bag of the stuff – no butter or seasonings needed!], so when I realized that this month was National Popcorn Month I knew I needed to toss a recipe out into the universe. I burnt the darn thing twice – but I finally figured it out and it.is.amazing! Can’t wait to share 🙂
Another thing I can’t wait to share with you guys? The revamped recipes that I’ve been working on! While I loved my original versions, the old recipes desperately needed new pictures and I figured while I was at it that I may as well tweak the recipes a bit to see what I could do to make them just that much better. Stay tuned for these beauties!
Looking for a quick, torturous workout? See above.
While I love a good lifting session, there’s nothing better to me than a high intensity workout [which is probably why I adore burpees so much]. I love that feeling of being completely and utterly exhausted – heart pounding out of my chest, sweat dripping into my eyes and lungs burning. I did the above tabata workout this week after I had to skip out on my usual HIIT class and let me tell you – it was killer! My legs and quads were on fire after the first round – not to mention my heart rate never came down due to the quick rest and leg-focused exercises. Wowza.
I highly recommend giving this a go if you can! And then come back & let me know how much you
