After a long but fun vacay, Ninja and I are finally home. We both had a really great time visiting at Daddy’s, and it was hard to leave like always, but we were ready to get back home. Of course now I’m home staring at the Christmas mess we still need to clean up, wishing we hadn’t come home yet.
Here’s a quick picture recap of our vacay!
Snow Day!! Daddy, Ninja, Little Sissy and I all headed up to the snow for a bit of play and fun. Sissy and I wore our matching ear muffs along with our matching pigtail braids, because we’re cute like that.
Ninja and Little Sissy got into one heck of a snowball fight! Somehow I’m the one who ended up with snow down her jacket though!
Other than the snow day, we spent most of our time just hanging out. One day we spent at the mall and the other day we headed to an arcade called John’s Incredible Pizza. It was fun just following the kids around and watching them play games all day!
Little Sissy got a free caramel apple at the mall and Little Bro went to town on the pizza at John’s!
As for the food, well as usual when I go to Daddy’s, I really don’t watch what I eat too much. My mom is a great cook, and she always pulls out all the stops when I come home, so how can I say no? It’s just all so good!
homemade waffle topped with warm strawberry jam, naner, and eggs – homemade tortilla soup – salad bar greens topped with edemame, corn, tomatoes and olives along with some pasta – mexican salad – froyo
Little Sissy also helped me crack some fresh walnuts, which I ate a ton of! I have a bunch that I brought home as well, so look forward to seeing lots of walnuts on the blog!
Ninja and I will be heading back up to Daddy’s for the Superbowl, so it wasn’t too hard to leave this time. It always helps knowing that I will be back soon. It’s just the leaving part that sucks. When I go to give Little Sissy and Little Bro hugs goodbye, I just feel so bad. They just hold on to me, and I don’t ever want to let them go, but I don’t have a choice. All I can do is keep coming up to visit them as much I can, but it never seems to get any easier.
Alright well it’s time for me to play catch up and see how you all did this week! It’s good to be back!

Aww, hun, it’s so great to hear that you had such a good time with your family
When I was younger, my favorite thing to do when it snowed was either build a snowman or a fort, but these days I like to spend those stormy days inside the kitchen baking up some goodies.
Glad you’ve been having such a fun time at your dads girl!! Aren’t homemade waffles the BEST?
Happy New Years!
Fun times! Good food + Good People
I always go for the walnuts when cracking my own nuts.
Looks like you had a great time!!
We were in completely opposite weather for the holidays … we were down in Florida.
Personally, I prefer a white SAND Christmas to a normal white Christmas haha!
Have a happy New Year!
I don’t think I’ve ever had fresh walnuts before! Also, love the earmuffs!
Looks like a freaking blast! I am so glad you enjoyed your holiday season.
Leaving family is so hard! I feel awful every time I leave my parents’ place, and you’re right, it doesn’t get easier! But like you say, just visit as much as possible and enjoy the time while you’re there. And enjoy the waffles. Oh man, I really want a waffle now…
