Looking for the perfect gift for your fit friend or in need of some ideas to put down on your own list? Check out these 5 fitness gifts under $50 that are must haves for any fitness fanatic!
Friends, the time has come to start your Christmas shopping! With Cyber Monday and Black Friday right around the corner I thought that I would share 5 of my favorite fitness gifts that all cost under $50 [and who knows how cheap they will be on Black Friday!]
I think that a lot of times we neglect to put certain fitness or health items on our lists because we automatically think they will cost an arm and a leg [or that they will take up too much space]. Well, not so with these five fitness gifts! Each one costs less than $50 and is small enough to store under your bed, so no more excuses!
Also, if you are looking for a gift for your fit friend but don’t want to shell out an entire paycheck, than the below 5 fitness gifts are perfect. I may have one or two of these on my own personal list 😉
5 Fitness Gifts Under $50
1 Kettlebell [ $15 & up]
Friends, you know how much I adore my kettlebells. Similar to a dumbbell but so much more fun to work with, a kettlebell is an incredibly versatile piece of fitness equipment.
from Dicks Sporting Goods
The price of the kettlebell will depend on the brand and the size, however a good starting weight kettlebell of 15 – 25 pounds should run you around $30. I highly recommend putting one of these babies on your Christmas list if you don’t have one at home. They are stinking amazing!
Check out a few of my favorite ways to use them:
2 Resistance Bands [ $10 – $30]
Similar to kettlebells, resistance bands go up in price depending on the bundle that you buy. A typical basic bundle of resistance bands with 3 or 4 different resistance should cost you no more than $30.
I love, love, love resistance bands. While my heart belongs to the iron, resistance bands allows you to put an entire workout together without having to lug any weights with you [the perfect travel companion!]. I also love using resistance bands for intensifying basic exercises such as push ups and squats.
There are several different types of resistance bands that each have their own specific design and use, so do your research! Remember that the colors aren’t just for looks either – the colors help to tell you which ones have the most resistance and which have the least. Black typically tends to be the toughest!
3 Foam Roller
Oh foam roller how I love to hate you. If you don’t have a foam roller at home [or if your fitness buddy doesn’t!] then please do yourself a favor and put one down on your list!
I’ve never been that great at stretching [its soooo borrringgg] but for some reason I can spend 20 minutes rolling around on the floor with my foam roller no problem. While stretching is great for the body it doesn’t quite break down all the built up lactic acid like a foam roller can, which makes it that much better in my eyes!
Trust me ya’ll, if you haven’t foam rolled before it is going to hurt. But then it’s going to feel better, I promise 😉
4 Statement Gym Shirts [$15 – $30]
Is anyone else obsessed with motivation/funny gym shirts? I seriously adore them and can’t get enough of them [Bestie has bought me two!]. While plain tanks are fine and dandy I just get a kick out of some of these shirts.
This shirt speaks to me in so many ways.
Etsy has a fabulous selection of cute, motivational gym tanks to choose from. Seriously if I could I would probably buy myself 100.
5 Fashionable Leggings [$20-$25]
So I know that the gym is supposed to be a place for sweat, grunting and sore muscles – but that doesn’t mean that we can’t look fashionable while doing it, right? If you [or your fitness buddy!] is anything like me than you probably find yourself running out of clean leggings a lot. Help a friend out by picking up some cute leggings for them!
They may not be the Nike brand but Forever 21 has fantastic athletic leggings that are sweat-proof, not see through and super cute! I buy myself a new pair of leggings from Forever21 probably every few months and I have yet to be disappointed in the quality, durability and adorableness [is that a word?] of them!
And there you have it friends – 5 fitness gifts that won’t break the bank. I hope that you’ve got some ideas for your fit buddies [or yourself!] because ’tis the season to spread that healthy joy! 🙂
